GROWINGGREAT

STRONG KIDS START HERE.

Children can grow up healthy through science-based garden and nutrition education. GrowingGreat® brings STEM to life with a real classroom garden for thousands of kids in PreK-12, inspiring them to become scientists, engineers, farmers and chefs.

NOURISH BOTH BODY AND MIND.

In partnership with GrowingGreat and Para Los Niños, Astellas USA Foundation funded “From Bean Seeds to Frijoles: STEM Learning Begins.” This new program brings STEM to life in school gardens and teaches urban gardening skills to 1,700 inner-city Los Angeles first graders, siblings and families at PLN Gratts Primary Center, where the average annual family household income is $16,607, as well as the two new gardens at Para Los Niños Head Start preschools in the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Hollywood and Atwater Village. Three additional Head Starts locations will host STEM activities supported by Astellas USA Foundation, including projects with apples, beans and celery.

GROWING INSPIRATION.

GrowingGreat empowers children to grow up healthy through science-based garden and nutrition education by providing STEM experiences to inspire students in grades PreK-12 to become scientists, engineers, farmers and chefs. Para Los Niños' mission is to help children and their families succeed in school and in life.
